Carles Shangri-La Family Resort
Secluded in the heart of Brgy. Barosbos in Carles, Northern Iloilo lies the Carles Shangri-La Family Resort, a four hectare family owned resort which started as a family getaway from the trappings and bustle of the city. As people visited the area, it was soon decided to be opened for public interest. This was not only to showcase the beauty that Carles had to offer, but to provide an opportunity for visitors to enjoy it.

Mayor Arnold A. Betita Accomplishment
ACCOMPLISHMENT OF MAYOR ARNOLD A. BETITA IN TWO (2) YEARS
In the 2 years that our incumbent Municipal Mayor has occupied his position, his vision, industry and commitment to our people for the improvement of their welfare are now bearing fruits.
A MAN WITH A PURPOSE, WITH A VISION.
Our Municipal Mayor is tireless when it comes to looking for ways and means to get whatever is available for our people. Whenever he goes to Manila it is for the purpose of getting funding support for project proposals and letters to our Senators and Department Secretaries. When he goes to Iloilo City it is to ask Governor Tupas and Congressman Tupas for the services of the truck team to repair our roads, improve our Sports complex for the next CDSA athletic competing and whatever projects they could give to our barangays. His time and activities are dedicated to our people.
This is our present Municipal Mayor committed and dedicated to Carleseños. What he did for 2 years are all visible to us.
Let us acknowledge his achievement and support him continue accomplishing his vision and dreams for all of us.
SUPPORT GIVEN TO MAYOR BETITA
In his function as Municipal Mayor and doing all what is good for Carleseños, he was ably supported by the Sangguniang Bayan, Municipal Employees, Barangay Officials and the supportive and enthusiastic response of our people.
In 2007, six (6) important projects have been implemented in the total amount of P1,816,750.00. ( Annex “A”)
Again in 2009, 10 more projects were undertaken at a total cost of P4,135,478.00. (Annex “A”).

Dayhagan Spa And Beach Resort - Carles, Iloilo
I stumble upon this video in youtube about this resort in Dayhagan. Last year, as I remember it, we heard about this swimming pool in Dayhagan, Carles... so we went there and inquire. We were told that it is a private property and not open to the public.
Anyways, if this video is what's inside those high blocks of fenses... then it is indeed a nice place. I'm sorry to say that I can not confirm that this is really in Dayhagan, Carles... but, I'll try to find out more about this place.
At the moment, this is the video (I hope it really is) of the said resort in Dayhagan, Carles. Enjoy...

Carles Election 2010 Update
Just Sharing... this is a Petition!!!
Wonder why Brgy. Bancal is so backward when it comes to progress??? It's all because of "ENVY"!!! in other word... "HISA!!!".
Here's one example... Last week, we're supposed to rent a "pwesto" in Bancal's Market. The place was an old abandoned room used to be the barangay's co-op, which is non-existing. Anyways, we decided to rent the place for the amount of P50,000 good for 5 years rent of the place. Of course the money will go to the barangay. Also, we have to pay the pevious owner another P35,000 as payment for the supposed "improvements" of the place they've done.
Honestly, the place is a wreck. No ceiling, damaged roof, damaged walls, etc... in other words we badly need to renovate the place before it could even be suitable for any business or occupancy. Since we already had shed the money, i.e. payment to the previous owner, documentation, etc., we start planning and bought the much needed tools and materials to the planned renovation of this forsaken place.
Surprise! surprise! when we started the renovation of the place, we we're informed that the job has to be stop right away as the barangay councilors did not approve of the said renovation... worst, after we shed the money and bought all those materials, they don't want to lease the place to us anymore.
Reason? they will use the haunted room as "bodega" 'cause they have these tables to stock there "kay nagagabok na sa tunga plaza" which they've used during the barangay fiesta last February.
Really, that could not be reason enough to decline the good offer and money, not to mention an improvement to the market of Bancal, which would have benefited the barangay. I'm sure the REAL reason was... most of this councilors have a business of their own on that market and we are a POTENTIAL THREAT!!!
BANCAL BUGTAW!!! That's the kind of Barangay councilors that DOESN'T DESERVE OF YOUR VOTES!!!
Your REACTIONS and COMMENTS are highly appreciated.

Bancal, Carles, Iloilo
Brgy. Bancal is the 2nd most progressive barangays of Carles, after Brgy. Poblacion which is the center of the town. Bankal, as it is known locally, is also one of the densely populated barangays with population of approximately 4,300. The place is also the home for a lot of local politicians in Carles. Fishing is the main livelihood of the residence of Bancal. Carles' fish port is located here and it is also the gateway for travelers going to the islands of Carles.

Carles Central School
Carles Central School is located at the heart of Carles, Iloilo... the Brgy. Poblacion. Some of the original buildings has been replaced due to their age, if not ruined by thyphons, as well as for safety purposes.
One of the new features of the school is the waiting shed, which is sometimes used for family picnics, in the middle of the garden.
The present principal of Carles Central School is Mrs. Lynie B. Chavez.
